FILL OUT YOUR CAHPS SURVEY

This time of year, a small percentage of our Members will receive the Consumer Assessment of Health Plans and Systems (CAHPS) Survey. Less than 30 percent of our membership are randomly selected to receive the CAHPS Survey each year – every Member’s response counts.

The survey is used to assess your experience with AvMed and our network Providers. You can expect questions on important topics like patient-doctor communications. A strong patient-provider relationship is at the core of effective healthcare.

We hope you take the time to fill out the

CAHPS Survey. With this information, we

can continue to improve our services to

better serve your needs.

Here are some ways you can get the most out of your doctor’s appointment.

  1. Come prepared. Bring a list of your current medications and make sure your doctor is aware of any changes since your last checkup. You should also have a list of questions ready to maximize your time with your doctor.
  2. Ask for clarification. If you don’t understand something, let your doctor know. If you understand why your doctor is prescribing a certain medication or ordering a specific test, you’ll not only feel more at ease, but also have a better understanding of your care.
  3. Follow your doctor’s instructions. Be sure to follow your treatment plan and maintain any follow-up visits as needed.

Help us help you: We hope you take the time to fill out the CAHPS Survey. With this information, we can continue to improve our services to better serve your needs.
