COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS

Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United States. But many colon cancers can be prevented through regular screening

..Average risk begin screenings at age 45.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) recently revised its screening guidelines and suggests that individuals at average risk begin screenings at age 45. If you or someone you love has an increased risk, such as a family history of colon cancer or precancerous polyps, your doctor may want you to start screening even sooner or more regularly. Be sure your take-home kit is for a participating lab, such as Quest Diagnostics.
